Safety Protocols

Home » Safety Protocols

The 2022 PSCA National Conference will comply with all large event safety protocols consistent with local and CDC guidelines in effect for April 2022. The PSCA team will work closely with our hotel partners and the City of Phoenix to develop event protocols designed with your health, safety & comfort in mind. Operational adjustments may occur, so please check back here for the most updated information.

Updated November 2021

Stay Safe Together
By participating in the conference and any associated events, you self-attest that you are either fully vaccinated against COVID or have tested negative for COVID within 72 hours before attending the conference.  If you do not meet these criteria, you agree that you will not attend the conference. This is a self-attestation; please do not submit personal health documentation.

You also agree that if you test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of the event or have COVID-19 related symptoms, including if these conditions emerge while you are at the event, you will not attend the conference. If you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, you should follow the current CDC guidance: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/quarantine-isolation.html. In addition, ARA may immediately remove or prohibit you from in-person activities at the conference if you exhibit symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you fail to comply with any safety procedures stipulated by ARA or the event venue.

Face Coverings
According to current state and local guidelines, those who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear masks when in both indoor and outdoor public places throughout the city of Phoenix. Masks will still be required at the airport and on public transportation. Attendees are welcome to wear face coverings to suit their comfort level. We will continue to monitor state and local guidelines with respect to face coverings and modify if needed.

Social Distancing
For our attendees who prefer distancing at the conference, optional ribbons for badges will be available for anyone who wants to indicate a social distancing preference. In addition, we’ve designed our exhibit hall to ensure effective traffic flow and to allow ample space for attendees to move freely through the exhibit hall and our expanded seating areas. For our general sessions and workshop rooms, we will also offer a variety of seating options where space allows.

Enhanced Cleaning and Safety Protocols
Hotel staff will clean and refresh the space throughout the conference. All cleaning in the hotel will be conducted in accordance with CDC, WHO, and local health district requirements. Signage will be highly visible throughout the hotel to remind guests and employees to practice good hygiene. In addition, increased cleaning schedules for common areas and high-contact touchpoints such as doorknobs, escalator railings and elevators have been instituted and hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the public space and in dining areas.
